CKD webinar series for primary care clinicians
Primary care teams can watch a series of three educational webinars about chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its significance as a cardiovascular risk factor.
Earlier this year, Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) hosted these webinars to help care teams identify CKD earlier and provide resources to improve outcomes for patients. The sessions, led by expert clinicians, shared best practices and case studies.
These webinars are ideal for staff in primary care networks (PCNs), including nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and GPs.
Did you know?
- Chronic Kidney Disease is commonly caused by other conditions that put strain on the kidneys, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart failure and high cholesterol, which are all risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
- People with CKD are 20 times more likely to die of cardiovascular disease than from end-stage renal disease.
How can HI NENC support you?
As part of a cardiovascular disease prevention program, HI NENC helps primary care teams detect and treat CKD.
