Join us on the day to hear about the partnership’s Strategic Plan for 2025-28. You will also discover more about how NHIP is addressing health inequalities and working to improve patient outcomes across the system through advancements in research, training and involving patients and the public.


The conference is free and open to all, including staff and students across Newcastle Health Partners, as well as our wider network of researchers, academics and industry professionals.


The agenda includes:

  • Introducing our new strategy and reflecting on what we have achieved in our first 5 years. Professor David Burn, NHIP Director
  • Panel discussion on the power of partnership working, including Professor David Burn, NHIP Director, Sir Jim MacKey, Chief Executive of Newcastle Hospitals, James Duncan, Chief Executive of Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and Dianne Ford, Pro Vice-Chancellor for the faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Northumbria University.
  • Cultivating a collaborative culture for research and adoption. Prof John Isaacs, Professor of Clinical Rheumatology at Newcastle University and Associate Medical Director for Research at Newcastle Hospitals.
  • Building capacity and capability in training and education. NHIP Academy.
