Event Details

NHIP is pleased to welcome James Dixon to present at our next Lightning Talk.

The Sustainable Healthcare Satellite is an NHIP Initiative led by James Dixon, Associate Director of sustainability at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Satellite unites NHIP partners across the theme of sustainability – to promote and enhance collaborative research across our region.

James will discuss the importance of delivering environmentally sustainable health and care services within our city region. He will also speak more on how sustainable healthcare services should be high quality health services and ill health prevention services that meet the needs of our people within the means of the planet.

NHIP Lightning Talks are designed to stimulate debate, questions, and curiosity from NHIP stakeholders. They also aim to raise awareness of the incredible work taking place across NHIP organisations for the benefit of patients and the population.

Typically, the events are a 30-minute virtual session, comprising a 15-minute presentation, and 15 minutes allocated for rapid response to questions or observations.

The virtual event will take place on 7 October 2024, 12pm – 12:30pm.
