The Digital North Accelerator programme is a joint project launched by the by four northern Academic Health Science Networks (AHSNs) – Yorkshire & Humber, Health Innovation Manchester, Innovation Agency North West Coast and North East and North Cumbria. The programme aims to help digital SMEs increase spread and adoption of their innovations across the whole of the North of England by delivering a range of supporting activity.

This event will be of particular interest to those involved in Cervical Screening, Cancer Alliances, ICS Leads and Directorates, as well as managers involved in Women’s health services, Colposcopy Leads and Nurses. It will provide you with an opportunity to understand the potential benefits and savings this innovation will have for your service.
Zilico specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of real-time medical diagnostics to address specific clinical needs. There are a number of clinical pathways which rely on visible indicators to diagnose disease but these visible indicators are not disease specific which means that the field is subjective. ZedScan™, Zilico’s flagship product, has been developed in collaboration with the NHS to improve the ability to detect cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) in women referred to colposcopy, following a cervical screening referral. The electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) technology utilised within ZedScan offers a non-visual, objective examination of the tissue structure to give a more accurate diagnosis and help support better patient management and improved health economics for healthcare providers.
