Delivering Systemwide Value
Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria enables its members and regional stakeholders to achieve ambitious programmes through the provision of support services across a range of specialties – from marketing and communications to rapid discovery design sprints.
We play a pivotal role in supporting the systemwide ambition to improve patient outcomes, reduce inequalities and support the economy.
HI NENC develop and deliver impactful marketing and communications services to a wide range of regional health and care partners such as the Northern Cancer Alliance, Northern England Clinical Networks and the Local Maternity Systems, to help them promote and position key programmes that improve population health.
In addition, we launched HI NENC’s Innovation Design Service (IDS) in 2023 which provides the health and social care system with the tools they need to rapidly discover innovative ideas and deliver solutions to ‘Big Problems’. The collaborative approach adopted by the IDS ensures all ideas are presented, considered, and agreed on, to quickly deliver solutions for the benefits of clinicians, patients, and the wider ecosystem.
The HI NENC team was also a lead driver in the development of the Clinical Digital Resource Collaborative (CDRC). The CDRC is a collaboration of clinicians and health professionals that develop clinical resources in SystmOne and EMIS, to enable clinical organisations to deliver gold-standard patient care safely, efficiently and effectively. The innovative digital resource offers powerful clinical searches, creation of dynamic templates, contextual alerts and patient status icons as well as standardised regional referral information allowing clinicians to streamline processes within primary care, improve patients’ outcomes and put clinicians in control of patient care.
