Extended Reality (XR) refers to all real-and-virtual combined environments and human-machine interactions generated by computer technology and wearables. Extended Reality includes all its descriptive forms like the Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR). In other words, XR can be defined as an umbrella, which brings all three Reality (AR, VR, MR) together under one term.
This is an opportunity for you to view the potential of virtual reality, augmented reality and immersive technologies and learn how they can be of benefit to frontline NHS staff across a number of key disciplines, including:
- Surgery
- Simulation / Human Factors
- Rehabilitation
- Education and Training
- Patient Experience
During the event, a number of key projects will be selected for further development and support.
The event is being held at PROTO, Europe’s first dedicated centre for emerging technology. PROTO partner with businesses to help them create exciting and meaningful digital content specialising in XR, 3D character capture and motion capture.
