This is the second briefing meeting for the exciting Child Parent Screening for Inherited High Cholesterol Programme which will equip you with the practical knowledge required to commence a successful local roll out of the programme. We are delighted to welcome Professor David Wald and Professor Julia Newton. Professor Wald who has been pivotal in this area of Familial Hypercholesterolaemia identification, will chair the session as well as sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience. Professor Julia Newton, Medical Director AHSN NENC, will update on the logistics, metrics and recruitment for the programme.

Sally Bullen is a Practice Nurse Lead/Manager with previous experience in screening children and will discuss her top tips during the session including use of the heel prick.

Rebecca McKenzie, whose child was detected in a previous programme as having FH, will share her own experiences and the subsequent consequences for the whole family.
