Describing the key principles of Behavioural Insights (BI), why they are important and how understanding them can improve the care we provide.

AHSN NENC in partnership with NIHR ARC NENC held a joint webinar. The purpose of this webinar was to describe the key principles of Behavioural Insights (BI), why they are important and how understanding them can improve the care we provide. Leading academics and clinicians with real life experience of gaining insights into why people do and do not engage with our health system provided personal and practical advise.

As part of the AHSN NENC InHIP project we are delivering BI across three communities who have historically struggled to engage with regular CVD risk assessments. Our interaction with academics from the NIHR ARC has shown that there is a lot of experience locally and many areas where a knowledge of BI and how they can influence delivery could be of benefit.

The event will be of interest to the following audiences

  • Clinicians working across NENC
  • AHSN teams
  • Academic teams
