Dr Sean Gill is a Programme Manager in the Innovation and Economic Growth team where he supports innovators in the NHS and industry. He manages a portfolio of programmes and innovations, and supports innovators to successfully move along the HI NENC’s Innovation Pathway, brokering access to a range of expert support and services across the health and care sectors, to realise the commercial and economic potential of ideas. He assists innovators to develop and test their value proposition, so they can understand the added value of their innovation. Sean joined the HI NENC from Newcastle University where he was a Clinical Trials Database Manager. He project managed the data for Phase III and IV pharmaceutical trials, device trials and surgical trials, as well as those of service organisation and delivery and of complex interventions aimed at behaviour change amongst professionals, patients and members of the public. Day to day he managed patient information, attended monthly Trial Management Group meetings producing and presenting Data Quality and Progress reports, reporting on trial progress and issues, and internally met with each trial team weekly to discuss milestones. He worked with clinicians to understand their research, site research teams locally and nationally, and industry partners across a diverse portfolio. Outside of work Sean enjoys coastal walks and trips up to Northumberland. He is a member of an outdoor bootcamp and keen runner.
