Raasti has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Loughborough University and has worked in both industry and academia over 8 years.
She spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher in the engineering department at Newcastle University and her most recent role prior to HI NENC was with the NIHR In Vitro Diagnostics Cooperative as a methodologist, gaining expertise in evidence generation for diagnostic test developers.
She is eager to seek and validate new innovations that will drive change and make an impact to patients who need it as well as benefitting the NHS.
